I wish someone had told me this years ago! 

This one shift saved my business life. 

It is literally responsible for saving me 10s of thousands of hours of my time and so much energy that I can't even comprehend!

Here is the big secret, ready? 

NO MORE MEETINGS! 

Yup, no sales meetings, No ongoing client meetings… Why, you might ask? 

Because they suck! I spent the first 15 years in business just buried in meetings.

I’m talking about 3+ meetings a day, five days a week. I have been in 3+ hour-long meetings where we could have sent a two-sentence email that would have summed it up.

E.g. “We need to get more sales. Keep up the good work!”  

Don’t get me started on project management meetings. 

Nobody pays attention, and you have someone rambling for 2 - 3 hours!

And it always ends the same…

“Please look at the timeline and the assigned tasks inside Monday.com” 

And you are like, “yup, I saw that last week… Craig!” 

Or the “You are our ad person; I want you to sit in on our weekly meeting”

OMG… Shoot me now! 

They NEVER talk about ads in these meetings… 

and 9/10 is a meeting about other meetings that will happen in the future!

I remember saying, “So this is a meeting about a meeting that yall are going to attend next? What does this have to do with ads?”

Or, If you stick around long enough and get bored, you can start providing advice on totally unrelated topics that have absolutely nothing to do with you.

E.g.
Like, what colour they should paint the office or if they should make a new logo!

Please make it stop! 

That’s Great But, How do you get around meetings?

We run a soon-to-be $100m dollar media company and have had two meetings in the last three months. 15 min each.

We only use voice and chat through Telegram, and it’s free! :) 

Do you still have meetings?

Yes, but only if they are absolutely vital or interesting!

E.g.

They will not close without a meeting if I have a $250k+ deal sitting on the table. You bet I’m gonna take that call.

I avoid these two calls unless I’m getting paid at least $1000+ for the call. I highly recommend you do the same.

The first one is the “You got a min.” or “Let me pick your brain.” call. 

The second is the “Why should we work together?” call.

I send this simple email that AI wrote me:

Dear [Name],

Thank you for your meeting request. Unfortunately, I am unable to meet at this time due to my high volume of meeting requests. However, I am available for a one-hour consultation at a rate of $1000 if you are interested. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

If they want to pay me… I send them my Sam Cart, and boom, we meet. 

This helps me weed out all of the tire kickers, and my morale has gone through the roof, which gets me in the zone to create content like this! :)

This may sound counterintuitive, but do yourself a favour and make it harder for people to get in touch with you!
